Hypnapod was exhibited in the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Tasmania, Australia, housed in a 19th century railway workshop from 13-15 January 2018 as part of Mona Foma.
6 suspended, flexible pods commissioned by MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) and supported by the Australia Council for the Arts.
The pods were designed through a partnership with RMIT University Fashion and Textiles School, on a Japanese Shima Seiki machine, using a combination of rib and milano knit structures for maximum body contour and comfort.
The pods proved popular with family groups visiting the Museum, and a diverse Mona Foma audience, with over 1000 people experiencing the pods over the 3 day period.
Artists: David Patman, Michelle Boyde, Matt Warren and Richie Cyngler with knit technician Dr Jenny Underwood.
Invigilator: Anand Kumar.
